Elizabeth (Liz) Norris
Acting Chief People and Culture Officer
Elizabeth (Liz) Norris is the Acting Chief People & Culture Officer overseeing all aspects the employee experience including; talent management, recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development as well as the implementation of Human Resources policies and strategies. Liz joined Save the Children in 2013 and was most recently the Head of HR Strategy and Operations.
Prior to joining Save the Children, Liz was Director of Career Development at TIAA, a not-for-profit financial services organization serving those in the education, medical and cultural fields. During her tenure at TIAA, Liz managed all aspects of Performance Management as well as played a key role in the design, development and implementation of the talent review, succession planning and leadership development programs and practices. Prior to TIAA, Liz was a Vice President in JPMorganChase’s Corporate Human Resources function where her primary responsibilities were employee development including training programs and evaluation, leadership workshops, employee surveys and feedback mechanisms.
Liz holds a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Baruch College, a Master of Philosophy in Psychology from the City University of New York Graduate Center and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Fairfield University, where she taught for 12 years as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Psychology Department. Liz lives in New Rochelle, NY with her husband and two children.
