
Andrea Williamson
Director, Corporate Secretary, Office of the President
Andrea has over 40 years of experience in the Office of the President at Save the Children US, in positions of increasing responsibility. In her current role, she manages quarterly Board of Trustees meetings, and liaises with Trustees on a broad range of governance issues. In addition to managing office operations, Andrea works closely with the CEO and COO to ensure critical issues are addressed by senior leadership and to facilitate communications with staff around the globe.
Andrea has seen Save the Children’s programmatic work in places including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Jordan, Mali, Mexico, and rural Kentucky.
Andrea joined Save the Children following a State Department Internship after receiving her master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona. She holds a bachelor of arts from Lawrence University.
Among her proudest moments was reaching the summit of Africa’s tallest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro, where she planted a Save the Children banner.
