We are thrilled to see you are interested in our "Strut for Save" event to raise funds for early childhood education in Mississippi! Our signature event this year will be a Fashion Show and Cocktail Reception featuring Mark Shriver as our speaker and local students from our Teen Council participating as models.
The Fairfield County Leadership Council is a group of local women philanthropists dedicated to raising funding and awareness of Save the Children in Fairfield County. Our members are passionate advocates of Save the Children’s mission to ensure that every child in the United States and around the world grows up healthy, educated and protected from harm.
Save the Children is focused on early childhood education in the US - both in the home and in our schools. We know that children are born ready to learn, but without access to quality early education, the nearly 15 million children living in poverty in America face insurmountable odds at perhaps the most critical time in their lives. This year our council is focused on supporting Save the Children's early education programs in our "adopted" community of Marion County in Mississippi. Members of our council recently traveled to impoverish Marion County to see Save the Children’s early childhood educational programs. We cannot tell you how impressed we are with the trusted relationships and impactful programs that Save the Children has established in Marion. We are proud to help bolster support and to ensure that every young child in need has access to early childhood education.
We thank you in advance for supporting our efforts and are looking forward to a fun and memorable evening.
