Save the Children US Names Ron Guerrier its New Chief Technology Officer

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (April 2, 2024) – Today, the global nonprofit, Save the Children US, announced Ron Guerrier as its new chief technology officer responsible for providing vision and driving innovation across the organization’s technology, data, digital tools, infrastructure, and operations portfolio. In this senior leadership team role, he will lead the Business & Technology Solutions division and report to Save the Children Chief Operating Officer Aleksander Dardeli.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ron to Save the Children and know his experience, expertise and passion will further advance our mission,” said Dardeli. “In the midst of proliferating crises, Save the Children must leverage both proven and nascent technologies to meet unprecedented needs to support children to grow up healthy, educated, and safe. Ron’s extensive history leading information technology in both public and private sector organizations will help us accelerate our digital transformation and, ultimately, achieve greater impact for children in the U.S. and around the world.” 

Prior to joining Save the Children, Guerrier held roles including global chief information officer for HP, Inc., chief information officer and secretary of innovation and technology for the State of Illinois and chief information officer for Express Scripts. His earlier leadership positions include executive vice president and chief information officer for Farmers Insurance Group and vice president and chief information officer for Toyota Financial Services.

Ron also serves as a board member at SBP, a nonprofit organization focused on shrinking the time between natural disasters and full recovery. He also is on the Advisory Boards for HTEC, a global tech engineering company founded in Serbia and STEM Advantage, a California nonprofit that provides opportunities for women and underserved communities pursuing STEM degrees.

Ron holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an M.S. in Management from North Park University, and is pursuing a doctorate in Organizational Change & Leadership from the University of Southern California. He will be based in Chicago.
