In August 2018, an airstrike by the Saudi- and Emirati-led coalition hit a school bus, killing 40 children. Save the Children has helped survivors of the airstrike, including an 8-year old boy.

Help Children in Vanuatu

A five-year old schoolgirl, wears her new school bag with pride. 3 months after a cyclone devastated her school on the island of Tongoa, her school reopened and she was able to return to Kindergarten. The community rebuilt the structure from scavenged wood and bricks; Save the Children provided tarpaulins, books, toys and games – plus a new school bag, presented to each child on their first day back.
