For nearly a decade, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation (DGLF) and Save the Children have partnered to expand early literacy and educational opportunities in rural communities across the United States. DGLF’s support has been instrumental in growing Save the Children’s birth-through-elementary-school literacy model, helping ensure children have the resources and support they need to develop strong reading skills from an early age. In addition, DGLF has played a key role in advancing the Rural Child Well-Being Dashboards, a first-of-its-kind data resource that sheds light on the needs, challenges, and opportunities facing rural children and families nationwide.
