Pull for Nepal

The students of Tenafly Middle School in New Jersey were affected very deeply by the devastation from the earthquakes that hit Nepal in April 2015. They had many personal connections to the emergency from TMS family members living in Katmandu to a TMS parent attending a conference there when the earthquake hit. The students organized a very successful fundraiser for immediate food and shelter assistance, but they weren’t finished yet. This year, the school’s community came together again in March 2016 and continued their fundraising effort with a great idea they came up with: PULL FOR NEPAL, a tug-a-war competition between homeroom classes. With the support of the entire TMS Staff, the event was amazing and best of all, raised almost $6,000 through online and offline donations. Save the Children is so thankful for the wonderful Tenafly Middle School community and all of their hard work in continuing to support relief efforts in Nepal.
