Every child, everywhere, deserves a strong start in life – and that includes good health and an early education. That’s why Save the Children, the preeminent voice for children, is calling on youth and adults alike to join us for our annual Advocacy Summit on April 8-9 in in Washington, DC.

The Advocacy Summit is a unique opportunity for supporters like you to learn about the critical challenges facing children in the United States and around the world. Together, we’ll raise our voices in support of the life changing solutions needed to overcome these challenges and help give children everywhere the best chance to survive and thrive.
During the two-day event, you’ll engage with remarkable panelists and speakers from both sides of the aisle, as well as other notable public personalities, to develop important skills needed to help influence policymakers at every level. The Advocacy Summit brings world-renowned participants to the table to discuss some of the most important issues facing children today. Past participants include Senator Tom Daschle and Congressman Steny Hoyer, NBC News correspondent Luke Russert and Save the Children’s own vice chair, Cokie Roberts of ABC News and National Public Radio.
Through an exciting agenda focused on education and engagement, you’ll learn the basics of how to make your case to Members of Congress and their staff, gain the tools and training needed to follow-up with policymakers on the issues that matter to you, and partake in stimulating breakout sessions and exhibits focused on building your advocacy skills. In addition, you’ll get to meet and socialize with speakers and fellow supporters who care about issues related to children, all while experiencing the historic grandeur of our Nation’s Capital.
For aspiring youth advocates, we‘ve developed a dynamic and engaging youth track. In fun workshops, they’ll explore worldwide children’s issues in a meaningful way while learning how to use story-telling, online video and social media to persuade their friends, influencers and policymakers to act on the issues that are important to them.
