EMERGENCY ALERT

Nearly a quarter of Venezuela’s population — 7.9 million people — are in need urgent humanitarian assistance. In recent years, Save the Children has been scaling up its response through local partners to support the increasing number of children in need, delivering health, nutrition, education, child protection, shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene and food security and livelihoods support.

Your gift can help deliver lifesaving support and offer hope for a safe, stable future to children in Venezuela and around the world.

Help the Children of Venezuela

Venezuela's displacement crisis is one of the largest in the world.

In their search for protection and a better future, more than 7.9 million Venezuelans – or 23% of the population - have left the country since 2014. This is the largest exodus in Latin America’s recent history.

Save the Children is responding to the crisis affecting Venezuelan children. Since 2020, Save the Children has reached more than 276,000 people, including over 150,000 children.

Save the Children's Work in Venezuela

Every day, Save the Children works alongside children, families, and communities to ensure children are safe, healthy, educated, and able to thrive. Our programs protect children from violence, exploitation and neglect while supporting their mental health and well-being.

We help children stay in school by creating safe learning environments, training teachers, and providing educational supplies—successfully supporting the registration of more than 34,000 children.

We strengthen health and nutrition services for mothers and young children, train caregivers in healthy feeding practices, and expand access to primary and reproductive health care.

At the same time, we help families meet their basic needs through food security and livelihoods programs that build resilience, support youth employment, and improve access to nutritious food for tens of thousands of people.
