Children Must Come First. Always and Everywhere.

Right now, children are paying the highest price for adult wars.

One in five children around the world lives in an area affected by conflict — up from just one in ten a decade ago. Conflict is now the leading cause of child hunger, devastating families’ ability to grow or buy food, destroying farmland and infrastructure, and forcing millions from their homes. In some of the world’s worst crises, starvation is even being used as a weapon of war.

This year alone, 118 million children have been plunged into hunger — and more than 60 million of them were driven there by conflict. In Gaza and Sudan, fighting and blocked aid have pushed millions to the brink of famine.

At Save the Children, we believe that no child should go hungry, die in conflict or be denied the chance to learn and grow. For more than 100 years, we’ve delivered life-saving food, health care and education to children in crisis — and we’re calling on world leaders to do more to protect them.

Children should be safe, nourished and free to dream — not fighting for survival.

Join us in calling on leaders everywhere to put children first in every decision, every conflict and every crisis.
