Answers:
What happens when I join Team Tomorrow?
When you become a recurring donor to Save the Children, you make a powerful commitment to changing the lives of children here at home and across the world. Team Tomorrow is a group of passionate, caring individuals who are committed to giving kids a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.
Your support reaches out to 120 countries and helps more than 183 million children, including 837,000 here in the United States. You commit to a recurring gift that ensures program services are reliable and never interrupted due to lack of funding.
Your recurring gift also helps ensure that Save the Children can act quickly when an emergency hits to provide immediate disaster relief. We are often the first on the ground to address the unique needs of children. Children require special care and supplies at times of emergency. Children are at risk of suffering long-term developmental, physical and psychological setbacks following a disaster. As a result of your compassionate support, we also offer programming for children focused on their health, safety and education to help them achieve success in their lives.
Our promise to you is to share the stories of children whose lives you are changing. We’ll do this through:
- Regular email updates
- Reports from our relief workers in the community
- Results and highlights of the programs you’re funding
- Exclusive invitations to special events
How were inequality, the climate crisis, conflict and poverty in the U.S. selected for Team Tomorrow?
Save the Children selected these issues based on where communities see the most opportunity for positive impact and where we can uniquely support children’s needs. The climate crisis magnifies inequality, poverty, displacement and may increase the likelihood of conflict. Your recurring donations address not only your selected issue but the many critical and connected issues affecting children in the U.S. and around the world to create positive, irreversible change. Your support will help millions of children who are routinely denied rights and privileges, from education to health care and housing due to the impacts of extreme weather, conflict, inequality, poverty and more.
Do you also address poverty outside of the US?
Yes, we do. We support children dealing with the impacts of poverty around the world. By calling out a focus on our work in the U.S., we allow supporters to opt in to learn about our work specific to the United States.
What makes Team Tomorrow different from Partner for Children?
Team Tomorrow will allow you to hear more about the impact you are having on a specific issue you care about, such as the climate crisis, conflict, inequality, or poverty in the United States. You will receive regular updates on how your giving is helping create positive, irreversible change for and with children. You will also have the opportunity to hear from children, community leaders, teachers, parents, Save the Children staff and individuals who work for the grassroots organizations with which we collaborate on the change we are creating together, with your support.
How is Team Tomorrow connected to Save the Children?
Save the Children created Team Tomorrow, a monthly giving program, to build a better tomorrow by collectively addressing the issues that impact children and their communities most, such as the climate crisis, conflict, inequality and poverty. Supporters can choose an issue they want to hear more about, allowing us to carefully curate communications and engagement opportunities around the issue that matters most to you. Save the Children has been around for over 100 years and remains dedicated to supporting the unique needs of children. Our focus is on the safety, health and education of all children - and the stakes for them have never been higher.
Why do you work with local organizations and who are these organizations?
Save the Children partners with children, community members and local organizations to determine how we can create the most positive impact together. We encourage and enable individuals with the greatest understanding of children’s needs within that community —oftentimes those who live and work there—by defining and designing solutions together. The organizations we vet, fund and/or partner with vary depending on the specific needs within a community, and they operate at global, regional, national and program levels. These strategic partners are those with whom we share values and objectives, and who complement our work, allowing your donation to have an even greater impact for children. These local partnerships also mean we can be among the first to respond and the last to leave when emergencies strike.
How will my donation be used to reach children and communities? Will my gift go directly to the address the issue I’ve selected?
Your monthly gift helps us work with children and communities to address your selected issue along with other issues children face in the U.S. and around the world. Your commitment to a recurring gift ensures that programs are never interrupted due to lack of funding. The most effective way for Save the Children to create irreversible, positive change for all children, regardless of the issues they are facing, is to combine your contributions with those of other supporters. This way we can holistically address the needs of children and quickly pivot as needs evolve within communities. We live in a highly connected world, and this means that we cannot simply solve one systemic issue in isolation.

Is my Team Tomorrow support tax deductible?
Yes, Save the Children Federation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donation is deductible to the full extent allowable under IRS regulations. For specific, tax-related questions about your charitable giving, we encourage you to contact your tax advisor.
Will I receive a tax receipt for my Team Tomorrow donations?
As a recurring donor, you will have access to an online history of your recurring giving. A full-year summary of your donations is typically available in late January of the new year, in PDF form, via your online account under “Manage my Giving”. This summary can be used as your tax receipt. You can also use your monthly bank or credit card statements for your records. If you are unable to access your full-year summary of giving online by March of the following year, please use this form to request one or call us by phone at 1-800-728-3843. Duplicate receipts may take up to 10 business days to process.
How do I change from monthly support to annual or quarterly donation?
Your Supporter Experience Center can assist in changing your contribution frequency and can be reached at supportercare@savechildren.org or 1-800-728-3843, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, (EST). Payment schedules can be set monthly, quarterly or annually based on your preference.

How do I update my credit card number?
You can update your credit card number by logging into your online account and clicking “Manage My Giving.” From there you can send your recurring gift on the right column and update your credit card number by selecting “Update Credit Card.”
If you need assistance, call our Supporter Experience Center at 1-800-728-3843, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (EST). To ensure the security of your information, we do not recommend sending credit card information over email.
How will I be notified if my automatic payments are interrupted?
If we are unable to process your Team Tomorrow contribution (when, for example, your credit card account number changes), you will first receive a notification letter by mail and then a printed statement each month. In addition, you will receive an email or mobile alert and a phone call from a Supporter Experience Center representative to help you update your payment information.
Will my Team Tomorrow support always cost the same amount?
Not necessarily. Many partners choose to upgrade their gift periodically (Thank you!), allowing us to do even more for children around the world. There are also instances where we prompt this upgrade due to the rising cost of supplies in the countries where we work. We do this to ensure that our programs remain unaffected by economic ebbs and flows. Please know that these small increases pooled together make a HUGE difference for kids. Every cent you give makes change for children. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!
If you’re ready to provide even more support to children in need, you can easily update your contribution amount online in the “My Giving” section of your online account.
Your Supporter Experience Center is also happy to assist you and can be reached at 1-800-728-3843, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (EST).
Can I cancel my recurring gift?
Your role on Team Tomorrow is part of an entirely voluntary, ongoing relationship that supports our critical work with vulnerable children in the United States and around the world. There is no contract involved, and you can cancel at any time. We understand that financial situations can and do change. We are grateful for the chance to work on your behalf to provide care and support for children who need it most.
Before you make this life-changing decision, however, here are some important things to consider.
