Greg Ramm

Country Director, Save the Children DRC 

Greg Ramm is Country Director at Save the Children in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He brings more than 30 years of experience in the humanitarian and development sector, with a strong focus on Africa. In 1998, Greg helped establish Save the Children’s first office in Kinshasa.  

Since then, he has held a range of leadership roles, including Country Director in Ghana and Regional Director for West and Central Africa. In 2014, he led the Save the Children’s response to the Ebola crisis in Liberia. He also served as Global Program Director in London and held senior positions at Save the Children in Washington, DC, including Vice President for Humanitarian Response and Associate Vice President for International Programs, with a focus on Child Protection and HIV/AIDS. 

From 2016 to 2020, Greg was a member of the United Nations’ Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Emergency Directors Group. Prior to joining Save the Children, he served as Executive Director of the Institute for Community Economics. Earlier in his career, he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the DRC, where he taught high school math and physics. 

Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Dartmouth College and is based in Kinshasa.
