Annie Di Paola

Annie Di Paola is an Advisor for Disability Rights and Inclusion at Save the Children US, where she leads disability rights and inclusion efforts across the organization’s U.S. programs. In this role, she partners with communities and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) to embed inclusive practices across early childhood development, school-age learning, humanitarian response, and community coalitions.

Annie brings more than a decade of experience in education and disability rights, with a strong focus on building systems where all children can learn and thrive. She began her journey with Save the Children as an intern with our advocacy arm, Save the Children Action Network (SCAN), where she gained experience in advocacy and policy and was first introduced to the organization’s mission.

Prior to joining Save the Children, Annie worked as a special education teacher in Chicago Public Schools, co-teaching in an inclusive classroom. This experience deepened her commitment to inclusion and its benefits for all children. She also served as a case manager, supporting families as they navigated complex special education and early intervention systems.

Annie holds a bachelor's degree in special education and a master's degree in nonprofit management, and lives in San Francisco.
