Amy Karageorgos

Amy Karagorgos is Senior Advisor for Disability Rights and Inclusion at Save the Children US, where she leads cross-sector efforts to advance the rights, dignity, autonomy, and inclusion of children and caregivers with disabilities across our global programs.

She supports country offices to strengthen disability-inclusive programming, deepen engagement with the disability community, and improve data collection to identify gaps, measure progress, and drive inclusive approaches at scale.

Amy brings more than 25 years of experience in disability-inclusive development, with a particular focus on the right to play, recreation and sport. Prior to joining Save the Children, she worked with international organizations including UNICEF, the United Nations Development Coordination Office (UNDCO), the International Disability Alliance (IDA), the Global Action on Disability (GLAD) Network, and the Global Partnership on Children with Disabilities, to name a few.

She has led dozens of trainings and authored numerous publications. Amy holds a master's degree in Disability Studies, and lives in Rhode Island with her family.
