American Girl has a long-standing commitment to helping children and families in need. Since 2010, Save the Children and American Girl have partnered to enrich learning for kids in rural America, ensuring children have access to age-appropriate reading materials. Through generous annual book donations currently totaling over $9 million to Save the Children’s literacy programs, American Girl helps Save the Children develop students’ reading skills and provide them with the guidance and support they need to grow as readers.

The Amy Krouse Rosenthal Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to supporting childhood literacy programs. To that end, the Foundation has donated tens-of-thousands of Amy’s award-winning books through Save the Children’s Early Head Start and rural education programs across the U.S.  Like Save the Children, the Foundation aims to put books into the hands of kids who need them most.

In partnership with Save the Children, this campaign will support 10 million people in 22 needy countries, bringing scale to education and social mobility programs. RISE represents Discovery’s commitment to ensuring children globally have a chance to learn and thrive.
