Save the Children Appoints Three New Board Members

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (Sept. 19, 2018) — Global humanitarian organization Save the Children on September 18 welcomed three new board members to its Board of Trustees.

The new board members are:

  • Judee Ann Williams, Co-Head of CAA Social Impact at the leading entertainment and sports agency, Creative Artists Agency. Williams works with public and private sector companies to develop, implement, and market their philanthropic, social responsibility, and cause-related initiatives. She holds various leadership positions on several boards and advisory councils, including the Board of the Carrie Underwood’s C.A.T.S. Foundation, Katy Perry’s Fireworks Foundation, First Book, and the USO Entertainment Council. Williams has also worked closely with Save the Children Ambassador Cristiano Ronaldo.
  • Gabriela Hearst, a Uruguay-born, New York-based womenswear designer who launched her eponymous label in 2015. In the summer of 2017, Hearst traveled to Turkana, Kenya where a looming hunger crisis was devastating the region. Following the trip, she pledged to donate $600,000 in support of Save the Children’s famine relief efforts by partnering with NET-A-PORTER and Bergdorf Goodman to make her handbag collection available to the public for the first time. In 2016, Hearst collaborated with TOD’S on a limited edition "Love" shoe in support of Save the Children.
  • Peter Fasolo, Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President for Johnson & Johnson. At J&J, Fasolo is responsible for all aspects of the world’s largest and most broadly-based healthcare company’s human resources agenda, including global talent, recruiting, diversity, compensation, benefits and employee relations. He serves on the Board of the Human Resources Policy Association in Washington, D.C. and was named a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources in 2017.
