Following Spring 'Bunny Experience,' Noerr Reaches Nearly $1.5 Million in Donations for Save the Children's U.S. Programs
FAIRFIELD, Conn. (May 30, 2017) — On the heels of its national Bunny Photo Experience this spring, The Noerr Programs collected more than $56,000 for Save the Children’s U.S. Programs, the global humanitarian organization announced today.
Since 2010, Noerr has requested a dollar donation from guests to their Bunny and Santa Photo Experiences nationwide to support Save the Children’s early childhood education, literacy, health and emergency preparedness programs in the United States. Those individual donations surpassed $1.4 million this spring.
"We are tremendously grateful to The Noerr Programs, which has inspired the generosity of families across America to help us reach our nation’s most underserved children," said Bill Corwin, Save the Children's Vice President for U.S. Programs. "One act of giving at a time, Noerr and guests are enabling more children to have the chance to reach their full potential."
Save the Children’s U.S. Programs strive to make sure children in need are prepared to succeed in school and lead healthy, active lives. The programs include providing books and home visits to pregnant women and families of young children, as well as literacy and afterschool programs in isolated, high-poverty communities in rural America.
"Today, nearly one in five children in the U.S. live in poverty. That's 15 million kids who simply do not get a fair chance at a bright future because they lack access to the quality education and well-being resources so many take for granted," said Judy Noerr, CEO and founder of The Noerr Programs.
In addition to donations, Noerr’s Bunny and Santa have delivered gifts and messages on the importance of reading and emergency preparedness to kids at Save the Children program sites across the United States, including locations in Arkansas, California, Colorado, Kansas, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Washington D.C.
This year, Noerr’s Bunny Photo Experience launched at more than 300 malls around the country in mid-March, capturing keepsake photo memories of guests and donations for Save the Children through April 15.
