The Young Patrons (YP) of Save the Children is a group of dedicated young professional philanthropic leaders in the New York City metropolitan area who are committed to championing the cause of children and raising awareness among younger generations of the challenges boys and girls face around the world. We aim to use our networks and philanthropic capacity to support projects that align with Save the Children’s mission and collectively support the needs of the world's poorest children, specifically in the area of education.
As Young Patrons we seek to leverage our collective networks and fundraising power to support others less fortunate than us. We’ve chosen to support Save the Children’s, Return to Learning Fund, which aims to create a holistic program to get displaced children back into school within 30 days, because we understand the importance of a high-quality, uninterrupted education on the future well-being of children.
We have an annual fundraiser in the spring to raise awareness and funds to support a project that addresses the needs of children struggling to get a high-quality education, the Return to Learning Fund. Additional meetings and events are planned throughout the year based on the interests and support of the committee members.
