About eProject
eProject sponsors help to support all of Save the Children’s sponsorship programs in Ethiopia.  This special program allows sponsors to follow the progress of children and programs through entirely electronic communications.

By reading the success stories and program updates on our eProject website, you’re able to see the change sponsorship contributions help to create through the eyes of the children and community members directly affected by our programs. Read More

Save the Children in Ethiopia
Save the Children began community-based and sustainable projects in Ethiopia to help address some of these concerns. Our pilot community-based school (CBS) project was begun in 1997. Participation of the community at all levels is a very important requirement of the CBS system as well as many of our other programs.

Programming funded with the help of sponsors began in the Woliso district of Ethiopia in 2001. Currently the CBS program is operating in partnership with local organizations and the community in order to improve access to quality basic education in Ethiopia. In addition, we are increasing our work with government schools to further expand the reach of these programs. Sponsorship funding now supports 19 CBS benefiting more than 5,000 children and we haven’t stopped building or partnering with new schools yet! Read More
