World Humanitarian Summit

Growing numbers of crises around the world and the largest numbers of displaced people since World War II are crippling our international humanitarian system and it is children who are bearing the brunt. Nearly 250 million children now live in regions affected by conflict and over 100 million are affected by new disasters each year.

In the midst of so much need, Save the Children welcomes the UN Secretary General’s call for a once-in a-generation World Humanitarian Summit to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing humanity.

We will be at the Summit on May 23-24 engaging world leaders, setting forth our solutions, making bold commitments and mobilizing the public in support of our An Agenda for the Future, including our call for a "A New Deal For Every Forcibly Displaced Child"
