Back to School, Not Back to Germs

RB believes in creating healthy habits for children and families. This back to school season, RB, and its Lysol brand is committing $300,000 to help make sure back to school doesn't mean going back to germs. This commitment is part of a multi-million dollar, multi-year global investment made through Save the Children to improve the lives of children and families in need by promoting hygiene and well-being.

RB will be supporting back-to-school season through a national, cause-related marketing campaign in Walmart stores from July 24- August 27. Save the Children will be featured in an endcap display in Walmart stores and in a 90-second advertisement running in Walmart's in-store network throughout the back-to-school season.

Money raised through the back-to-school campaign will support SummerBoost, Save the Children's innovative learning program for children living in poverty-stricken areas of the US.

RB's support of SummerBoost helps Save the Children address the summer "learning gap" by decreasing the learning loss that often occurs when kids are out of school for the summer. Through SummerBoost, children's days are filled with reading, math, physical activities and enrichment activities. Plus, each child is provided with two nutritious meals and a healthy snack every day.

RB also provides support to schools and camps in communities where Save the Children works through their Lysol Healthy Habits Bus Tour, now in its third year. The tour connects parents, caregivers and children with important preventative services and offers germ prevention and hand washing tips. Learn more about the Lysol Healthy Habits Bus Tour today.

RB has supported Save the Children globally since 2003 and has grown to become one of our most innovative partnerships. Our global ambition is to dramatically reduce the number of children dying from diarrhea, one of the leading causes of death in children under 5. In 2015 we launched three ground breaking and sustainable programs in Pakistan, India and Nigeria along with the development of two unique and low cost RB products to help combat childhood diarrhea.
