Dedicated to investing in childhood, giving every child everywhere the best chance for a successful future.
The Devotion of Sam Simon
Sam Simon, devoted champion for children, visited a classroom in Haiti where girls learn and succeed in school, developing skills essential for their lives and futures.
Critically acclaimed writer, producer and director Sam Simon, best known as co-creator of "The Simpsons," was not only a comic genius, but a philanthropic champion. In honor of Sam's steadfast and generous partnership with Save the Children, we have named our giving society after him: The Simon Society.
For more than 25 years, Sam had been a dedicated champion for children, generously and compassionately supporting Save the Children's mission. He traveled the world with us to witness the impact for children his support helped achieve. Sam was also an ardent animal rights supporter. Long recognized for his tireless work for charitable causes, Sam is an inspiration to all of us.
"For nearly 30 years, Sam was a loyal advocate for children and traveled the world to see Save the Children’s work up close. In gratitude for his decades-long support, we created the The Sam Simon Society, a global philanthropic community that supports our agency’s work to improve the lives of children whenever and wherever the need is greatest."

We invite you to join a global group of Save the Children's most dedicated and generous champions for children with an annual gift of $10,000 or more to support our mission. Mission support is the most important investment you can make. It allows us to help children wherever and whenever the need is greatest — so we can effectively allocate program resources and respond quickly in emergencies, achieving maximum impact for children.
Members of The Simon Society receive recognition and benefits commensurate with their level of giving, such as opportunities to meet with other Society members and Save the Children senior staff and volunteer leaders, participate in special events and receive exclusive communications.
