Under government awarded grants, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will typically provide $3, and Save the Children must provide $1, up to the matching requirement of the grants. This $1 comes from generous supporters like you. Thus, for each $1 of the match requirement, we will have up to $4 to spend on children in need.

The “combined effect” of these matching gift grants is astounding. Children of war, malnourished boys and girls, and families wracked by poverty can get the help they so urgently need through Save the Children programs made possible by matching gift grants.

• Meeting the basic health and nutrition needs of children in Zambia who lack the essentials of survival and urgently need our help.
