(Oct. 7, 2014) — Recording artist and former Disney actress Bridgit Mendler ("Good Luck Charlie" and "Wizards of Waverly Place") announced today, via exclusive video, that she has launched a campaign on the celebrity charity-fundraising digital platform Mendler's campaign seeks to raise awareness and funds for Save the Children, the world's top independent charity for children in need, and their annual "Make the World Better with a Sweater" holiday initiative.

"Make the World Better with a Sweater" is Save the Children's holiday fundraising campaign to give children all around the world a brighter future. On Friday, Dec. 12, they encourage donors to wear a holiday sweater, make a $5 donation and spread the joy by getting friends, family and colleagues involved with extra fundraising activities.

"The holidays are coming up, and this year I want to help spread the giving spirit in a way that is fun and meaningful for me and my fans," said Mendler. The grand-prize winner will be chosen at random and notified via e-mail soon after the campaign closes on Nov. 12, 2014.
