After completing the Introductory Exercise (below), the presentation should be given using the additional facilitation notes included within the slides. In concluding to the presentation, walk participants through SC's Pandemic Influenza website (below), show them how to track updates, find related guidelines, and use the resources available.

Plan 1 hour and 15 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for questions/answers.


Exercises and Group Work

Introductory Exercise

Before beginning the presentation, take a few minutes to ask the audience about any questions they have regarding pandemic influenza. Try to tease any myths or misconceptions out of the audience – questions or comments that can be referred to throughout the presentation. Also, take this opportunity to identify any questions that are not addressed in the presentation and address them at an appropriate time during the presentation.
