What are the "Share" and "Follow Us" Buttons?

Toward the top of many Save the Children web pages there are “Share” and “Follow Us” buttons.

Note: When you want to share a web page, make sure to start from the web page that you want to share.   

Bookmark & Share Button:

Share and Bookmark button

The Share button makes it easy to share content with others or to bookmark it for yourself.

  • Sharing content allows you to spread the word and raise awareness of a story or issue.
  • Bookmarking helps you easily find a web page for future reference.

There are many different tools available for bookmarking and spreading the word. You can choose a tool that you currently use OR you can choose one that you may not. Simply move your mouse over the "share" button and click on its icon to register for an account. Then you may simply log on and use it in the future.


Follow Us Button:

Follow Us Button

The Follow Us button allows you to follow us and/or join us on various popular social networks. Save the Children is creating communities on various popular social networks. These communities help bring together a group of like-minded people to share interests, ideas and opinions, to work together to spread the word, and to connect with us and others in an informal environment. Some of our current online communities include:

  • YouTube
  • Twitter
  • Flickr
  • Squidoo
  • Eons
  • Care2
  • LinkedIn

To "follow us", simply click the icon for the social network that you currently use OR you can choose one that you may not yet by clicking on its icon to register for an account.
