The results are in – and they couldn’t be better for children in need! Thanks to you and to everyone who contributed to Save the Children through the Sam Simon Challenge in late December 2007, we exceeded the $1 million in support we needed to qualify for a matching $1 million gift from TV producer Sam Simon.
By the time the Sam Simon Challenge ended, your gifts had totaled over $1.2 million in support for our worldwide work.
Your vital contributions are helping Save the Children start 2008 even stronger than ever and will help us respond even more effectively to children's immediate and long-term needs worldwide.
“I’m tremendously grateful to everyone who saw the tremendous opportunity that the Sam Simon Challenge offered to us and to children and gave so generously,” said Save the Children President Charlie MacCormack. “When Sam agreed to the Challenge, we knew we had only a short time to get the word out. The results speak for themselves – and I speak for children everywhere in thanking you.”
If you missed out on the Challenge but still want your support to work hard for children, please consider making a gift today to help underpin our global mission.
