Idol Gives Back to America's Children
|
Sarah, a second grader in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is now reading above her grade level, thanks to Save the Children's Idol Gives Back supported literacy program. |
With the help of Idol Gives Back donations, Save the Children has already touched the lives of more than 11,000 children in rural America and over 10,000 children affected by last fall's wildfires in Southern California alone.
In the United States Save the Children works in poor, rural communities to provide early childhood development, literacy, physical activity and nutrition programs to children in need. In addition, when a disaster strikes and significant numbers of children are at risk, Save the Children is there, responding to the needs of children and families, as well as working to promote emergency preparedness measures that focus on children.
